New Roof Project

A major project in 2023 was to replace our church roof at a cost of £148,000 including vat and Architect's fees.  The pitched church roof has been replaced with concrete interlocking roof tiles and all the flat roofs have been replaced with EPDM (synthetic rubber roofing membrane).  The church was not considered to be a historic building, but nevertheless the roofing materials have not significantly altered the external appearance, and so have had a negligible impact on the appearance of the conservation area.  Moreover the mature landscape around the building has remained unaffected, thereby maintaining this significant feature of the area.  The much needed re-roofing works has enabled the church to suitably maintain the building, and thereby continue to provide a benefit of all those from the community who use the premises.

Planning was approved by the Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk and works commenced on the 3rd April 2023.   The roof was finally completed in October 2023 and the red tiles on the pitched roof stand out against the skyline.
