New Roof Project

A major project this year is to replace our church roof at a cost of 148,000.  The main church roof is to be replaced with concrete interlocking roof tiles and all the flat roofs are to be replaced with EPDM (synthetic rubber roofing membrane).  The church is not considered to be a historic building, but nevertheless the proposed roofing materials will not significantly alter the external appearance, and so will have negligible impact on the appearance of the conservation area.  Moreover the mature landscape around the building will remain unaffected, thereby maintaining this significant feature of the area.  The much needed re-roofing works will enable the church to suitably maintain the building, and thereby continue to provide a benefit of all those from the community who use the premises.

Planning has been approved by the Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk and works are due to commence on the 3rd April 2023.   Completion is expected on the 21st July 2023.  The good news is our church will remain open whilst the works are being carried out.

Special thanks to the Hunter Rowe Trust for a grant towards the cost.
